Dag,

We hebben en poos lang een visitor teller gebruikt. Deze zat in een leeg frame, zie gebruiksaanwijzing.

Nu hebben we alle frames uit de site gehaald (een pagina is nu een eigen bestand) en werkt de teller
niet meer. We hebben wel google analytics, maar dit loopt 4 uur achter en laat niet de verwijzer zien,
althans niet zo simpel als deze teller.

Hoe zouden we deze teller wee kunnen laten werken? Of heeft iemand en idee hoe we dit kunnen oplossn?

instructies voor gebruik:

.INSTALLATION.

To install this counter, here are 4 basic steps:

1. In your root homepage directory, make a folder called 'counter' (can
be any other name you wish).

2. Upload all files in the zipfile to that folder. Files are:
(count.txt, counter.css, counter.html, counter.php, countries.php,
gradient.gif, index.html, months.php, overview.php, texts.php, trans.gif
and visitors.txt)

3. Make both files count.txt and visitors.txt writeable. (for example use
'chmod 666 count.txt' and 'chmod 666 visitors.txt'

4. In your homepages frameset, make a hidden frame (a frame with a height
or width of 0). In that frame, put counter/counter.html. You can edit
counter.html to you liking, just as long as the script in the html stays
the same.

The script only counts visitors that have JavaScript enabled (which are
virtually everybody on the net except paranoia hackers).

.CONFIGURATION.

You can edit overview.php yourself. In the top of the code are
the variables $vlength, $vwidth, $hlength, $hwidth, $picture,
$nrdays, $nrlastfew, $refererlimit, $providerlimit, $countrieslimit,
you can change them if you like.

.USAGE.

After installation, visitors are counted. To show an overview of the
visitors up until now, visit http://[YOUR HOMEPAGE]/counter/overview.php
(or whatever you've called the counter directory).
