Hoobz is a small start-up company located in Eindhoven. Initiated by 4 persistent friends, of whom two already run their own creative agency (www.noctua-studios.nl). Hoobz is a social music platform facilitating the independent music industry to sell their music directly to independent music fans. We’re looking for talented developers in order to reinforce our team. Our office is located 5 minutes walk away from the Fontys/TUe. Workings hours are flexible, of course in consensus with the rest of the team. Our very pleasant working environment is not your typical one, an X-box in our office space might clarify that.

Job Description:

You will be working intensively as a team with other developers in close cooperation with the creative department. In addition, you will also take full responsibility with the technical development team for a successful operational implementation of the Social Music Platform. This means that you (pro-actively):

- Will be the technical point of call for constructing and developing the platform.
- Coordinate developing operations.
- Will write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements.
- Will contribute ideas that will simplify the optimization of the platform.
- Take responsibility for the information security.
- Will be available for at least 12 hours in a week.
- Likewise will contribute in the practical programming and development assignment tasks.

Knowledge and Skills:

Required:
- HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
- Javascript library: jQuery
- CakePHP Framework and basic MySQL
- Git version management

Beneficial:

- JavaScript libraries: BackboneJS, RequireJS, NodeJS, DustJS and UnderscoreJS
- Knowledge of frontend MV* frameworks
- Knowledge of building, managing and using an API
- Knowledge of integrating payment services
- Strong communication skills
- Team player
