Website Manager Belgium (40 hrs) The Position
The price and product comparison site Vergelijk.be (and in the near future also Comparer.be) is part of the Compare Holding with branches in various European countries. Website Manager is responsible for generating (extra) revenues from existing and new clients, mainly comprising online shops. The appropriate candidate will have to develop and manage multiple customer relations, as well as keeping track of developments of and within several important categories on the site.

This role will involve the continuous development of B2C e-commerce and online shopping in Belgium with both Flemish and Wallonian webshops with CPC and media sales. You will have a genuine passion for the Internet and a keen interest in the opportunities and possibilities that it can bring.

The Website Manager has budget responsibilities. You weigh the achievements and targets, develop a cost analysis, check the contribution margin and manage the cost per click. In addition to this you draw up, maintain and update a Category Management Plan. This allows you to have a clear overview of the sales funnel, the conversion ratio and the customers (webshops).
Besides, you initiate, plan and execute events and campaigns, by taking the ROI in account.

You are responsible for the category and sub-category division of Vergelijk.be. In every (sub)category, you optimize the number and quality of webshops. You try to attract qualitative new shops to the site and develop a sustainable relationship with the contact persons. You also manage and execute the administrative procedures, such as the contracts and use of the financial system.

The Website Manager also assumes the traffic acquisition via Google Adwords or other SEO partners. Moreover, you manage the products on the site, the usability and the content to guarantee a highly qualitative site.

The Website Manager will work closely with the Country Manager to attract new customers and increase revenue from existing customers. In order to achieve your goals, you rely on the expertise centers from the International organization (Traffic, Marketing, Content and Category Management).

The aim is to be the market leader of price comparison sites in Belgium. For this purpose, you keep up with the e-commerce and marketing developments in the region.

Your home base is the head office in Utrecht, the Netherlands (next-door to the Central Station).
Periodically you will visit customers in Belgium.

Responsibilities and Tasks
• Increase the number of webshops on Vergelijk.be and Comparer.be in a profitable manner
• Create shared revenue deals
• Responsible for media sales
• Manage and execute administrative procedures
• Initiate, plan and execute events/campaigns
• Optimize number and quality of webshops per (sub)category
• P&L responsibility for the (sub)-categories assigned to you for Vergelijk.be
• Create, maintain and update Category Management plan
• Responsible for Category(sub-category) division
• Manage new webshop process
• Traffic acquisition
• Quality of the site (Amount of products, usability, content)
• Single point of contact for the webshops


Education / Experience
• Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in Economics or Communication;
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in Internet or similar environment with a good understanding of Internet business models
• Experience in direct sales, working with clients at all levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation abilities
• Experience with successfully running marketing campaigns;
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);
• Experience with Analytical and/or Statistical software;
• You have a proven track record in reaching your targets in the Belgium (e-business) market
• You have the Belgian nationality or you have lived for several years in Belgium
• You speak fluently Dutch (Flemish), French and English.
• You preferably have some Internet experience
